A traffic collision involving two vehicles, a grey Toyota Yaris and a semi truck, caused significant disruptions on Interstate 5 (I-5) in Anaheim, CA, today. The incident occurred around 5:18 AM at the Gene Autry Way interchange, leading to the closure of the middle lanes of southbound I-5.
The grey Toyota Yaris was reported to be blocking two right lanes following the collision with the semi truck, which also made contact with a roadside wall. This situation resulted in traffic congestion and delays for morning commuters as vehicles were forced to navigate around the blocked lanes.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded quickly to manage the scene and direct traffic. A tow truck was called to recover the vehicles involved in the collision. By approximately 5:56 AM, the tow truck began the recovery process, and by 6:19 AM, the vehicles were cleared from the roadway.
