A hit-and-run incident occurred early this morning on State Route 65 near Avenue 112 in Porterville, CA. At approximately 1:20 AM, a white small sedan struck a black sedan from behind and fled the scene. Fortunately, the driver of the black sedan was unharmed and was seen walking towards a nearby gas station shortly after the collision.
Witnesses reported that the white sedan left the scene heading northbound on State Route 65. The black sedan was left in the roadway, but it did not require towing. Traffic was affected as the black sedan remained in the lanes, causing other vehicles to stop and navigate around it. By 1:29 AM, the black sedan was moved to the right-hand side of the road to clear the lanes for other motorists.
Initially, a tow truck was requested, but it was later canceled as the situation was resolved without the need for towing. This incident highlights the importance of road safety and the potential consequences of hit-and-run accidents. No injuries were reported, and the driver of the black sedan was able to walk away from the scene.
