A hit-and-run incident occurred today in Turlock, CA, involving a gray Acura that left the roadway and came to rest in an orchard. The incident took place at the intersection of South Faith Home Road and West Main Street at approximately 6:31 PM. Reports indicate that the vehicle veered off the road, possibly after hitting a drainage ditch, and ended up about 20 feet into the orchard.
Witnesses noted that the vehicle was unoccupied when emergency services arrived shortly after the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Prior to the crash, a passerby observed three occupants and an infant in the vehicle about ten minutes before it left the road.
A tow truck was dispatched to the scene around 7:29 PM to assist with the removal of the gray Acura, which had sustained damage to its front axle. The vehicle had struck a concrete drainage structure approximately 422 feet from the roadway.
Local authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. As of now, traffic in the area remains unaffected, but motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving near the intersection of South Faith Home Road and West Main Street.
