A semi-truck went off the road early this morning on Interstate 5 South near Checkpoint South in Camp Pendleton North, CA. The incident occurred around 5:09 AM when the truck driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway and become stuck in bushes. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and no other property was damaged.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene. The truck driver, who was initially trapped in the bushes, requested assistance from officers to evaluate the situation and determine the appropriate type of tow truck needed. By 5:51 AM, the driver was standing on the truck and reported that it was stuck and damaged, but chose to wait for the California Highway Patrol to assess the situation before initiating towing.
A heavy-duty tow truck was dispatched to the scene and arrived shortly after 6:20 AM. The tow truck successfully removed the semi-truck from the bushes without further incident. By noon, the California Highway Patrol confirmed that the vehicle had been cleared from the roadway, and there was no property damage associated with the incident.
Motorists in the area experienced minimal traffic disruption as a result of the incident, and the roadway has since been reopened for normal traffic flow.
