The collision involved a black unknown sedan and a black unknown pickup truck. One of the vehicles was seen smoking and blocking multiple lanes of traffic. Initially, all traffic was halted as responders worked to manage the situation, and fire services were requested as a precaution due to the smoking vehicle.
Traffic was significantly impacted, with all lanes temporarily closed to ensure the safety of emergency personnel. Flares were laid out to redirect vehicles while crews assessed the scene. By approximately 2:38 AM, all lanes were reopened, allowing traffic to resume toward Maritime.
