A traffic collision involving a semi-truck with a car hauler occurred today on Interstate 5 North near Washington Boulevard in Commerce, CA. The incident took place around 7:05 PM when the semi-truck collided with an overhead pass, resulting in debris scattered across all lanes of the highway.
Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, where it was reported that the truck had sheared the bottom of the overhead pass, causing significant debris to block traffic. A box truck also lost its load, which struck another vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
Traffic was halted across all lanes, leading to significant delays in the area. A SigAlert was issued, indicating that two lanes would be closed for approximately two hours while crews worked to clear the debris and ensure the safety of the roadway.
