A tragic incident occurred today on State Route 130 near Kincaid Road in Mount Hamilton, CA, resulting in a fatality. Emergency services responded to the scene after a single vehicle, a Honda Odyssey, was found significantly damaged down an embankment, indicating a severe crash.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received reports of the accident at approximately 1:32 PM. Initial assessments revealed that the vehicle had rolled approximately 400 feet down the embankment, making it impossible to drive. Life flight services were initially dispatched to the scene; however, due to the challenging terrain, the helicopter was later deemed unsuitable for landing.
As emergency responders worked diligently, the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office was notified to assist with the aftermath of the incident.
